Elite Meals is owned and operated by Tamara and Tony Baka.

How It Started:
In late 2005 I was fed up with being overweight, sluggish, and just uncomfortable in my skin. My friend had been doing CrossFit for a couple of years and I was curious.  I went to our local CF gym and immediately fell in love.  I mean, it was awful, but such a good workout.  I knew that I couldn't continue to workout that hard and then eat crap!
I immediately started meal prepping and posting what I was eating on social media, with hopes of encouraging someone else to start their own journey to better health.  I very quickly could see my results, and others could too.  They started asking what I was doing and then asking me to prep their meals.  
I did, and within a month had so many customers, I had to choose if I wanted to continue to work my full time job, or chance everything and open a business.  
Well, you know what I chose ;) 

Who We Are:
Tony and I met while serving in the US Navy.  When our contracts were up we moved back to his hometown of Benton. We have five beautiful children.
Tony is a Medical Laboratory Scientist and works at UAMS. He is PRN in Molecular Biology two days a week and helps me run the business the other five.   
We are so blessed to have a business that provides healthy meals to our customers, but we are also thankful to be able to provide jobs.  We have also been able to be more involved in our commuity, which we love. 

Why:
When I started this business it was to help people.  It was never created to make money.  We have been fortunate enough to be able to run the business with no other jobs and still focus on helping our customers.  This is why our meals are $7.50. It is a reasonable price that makes healthy meals affordable to most families.  
We have never had a contract because I have never needed to lock a customer in.  That concept doesn't make sense to me.  There is no minimum order for the same reason.  No need.  I don't want to be forced to order something I may not need, and know my customers feel the same way.  We also allow you to pick your meals, just like online shopping.  On the site, just order what you need, and submit.  That's it.  So easy!

Our Team:
Tamara - The originator! I am lucky to have this wonderful team of friends and family!
Tony
- Tony does most of the cooking now while I try to keep everything moving along as it should and perform quality control. 
Hanah - Hanah is our daughter and saves us every weekend by working. She knows how to do it all.  She also works pick up in Bryant on Sundays. 
Jill -
Jill is a close friend of mine and comes each week just to help.  She isn't even on the payroll but is such an important part of our team.
Anita
 - Anita helps us prep on Fridays (her day off from her full time job) and works pick up on Sundays in Little Rock.  Anita has had great success with our meals and we are so thankful to have her on our team. 
Celso - Celso is our newest addition, but we think he is going to fit right in. He is so friendly and polite. You'll see him on Mondays at our Little Rock location.
